Terms & use

Last updated 18 October 2026

Who these terms are with

AkinKids™ is made for children aged 4 to 9, but these terms are an agreement with you — the parent, guardian, teacher or therapist who decides a child may use it. You must be 18 or older to accept them, and by letting a child use AkinKids you accept them on that child's behalf.

Who owns this

AkinKids — the lessons, the words, the characters, the artwork, the narration and the software — is the original work of AkinVault Foundry LLC, Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and is protected by copyright. © 2026 AkinVault Foundry LLC. All rights reserved. AkinKids™ and AkinVault™ are trademarks of AkinVault Foundry LLC.

What you may do

Use AkinKids with your own children or the children in your care, as much as you like. Show it to other parents. Use it in a classroom or a therapy session. Add it to a home screen. Link to it anywhere.

Free lessons

The first lessons in every track are free, with no account and no time limit. Lessons that are free today stay free.

AkinKids Premium on the website

Premium unlocks every lesson, including lessons added later, on up to 5 devices in your household, using the unlock code you receive after paying.

Automatic renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically and charge the card you used at the start of each period until you cancel. If you cancel before your free trial ends, you are not charged.

Cancelling. Cancel any time from Grown-ups → AkinKids Premium → “Manage or cancel your plan”, or by emailing support@akinvault.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Premium stays on until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. If you are charged for a renewal you did not mean to keep, email us within 7 days and we will refund it. Lifetime purchases can be refunded within 14 days. Otherwise, payments are not refundable except where the law requires.

Price changes. If we change a subscription price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then. “Lifetime” means for as long as AkinKids is offered.

Your code. Your unlock code is for your household. Codes shared publicly may be turned off. A website purchase unlocks the website; the Android app is bought separately through Google Play.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.

AkinKids Premium (the Android app)

In the AkinKids app on Google Play, the first two lessons in every track are free. AkinKids Premium is a one-time purchase that unlocks every lesson in the app, including lessons added later, for the Google account that bought it. It is not a subscription and is never charged again. The price is shown to a grown-up, after a grown-up check, before anything is charged. Payment, refunds and restoring a purchase on a new phone are handled by Google Play under Google Play’s own terms.

What you may not do

Copy the lessons, characters or artwork into your own product; re-upload the narration or video as your own; sell it or charge for access to it; or strip the name off it and present it as yours. If you want to use it in a way that is not covered above, ask — the answer is often yes.

Privacy

The lessons app collects nothing from your child. No account, no sign-up, no email, no analytics, no cookies, no tracking. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

What this is not

AkinKids is educational content for families. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional who knows your child. If you are worried about your child, talk to someone who can actually see them.

No warranty

AkinKids is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, error-free or suited to any particular purpose. To the fullest extent Pennsylvania law allows, AkinVault Foundry LLC is not liable for any loss arising from using it.

If these terms change

We may update this page. The date at the top always says when it last changed. If a change materially affects what you may do or what we collect, we will say so plainly at the top of the page rather than hope you notice.
