A lesson runs about five minutes and is narrated out loud, so the child can follow it before they can read it. The counter is the point of the app: when it empties, the screen closes and the off-screen missions are all that's left. Two a day is ten minutes of screen. Three is fifteen. Set it before they ask, not after.
Each character speaks in the voice that matches them — Mom and Ms. Okafor use the first voice, Dad and Malik the second. Pick from whatever this device has installed; your choice is remembered. Enhanced and Premium voices sound markedly better than the defaults and are worth the download. Character movement follows your device's reduce-motion setting unless you override it here; if the characters look frozen, set it to Always animate.
